US justice department asks Google to sell its Chrome browser

The US Department of Justice has urged a federal judge to order Google to sell its Chrome browser, aiming to dismantle the tech giant’s alleged monopoly in the online search market. The proposed measures, echoing the historic breakup of Microsoft, also include data sharing with competitors and restrictions on Google’s Android operating system to foster fair competition.
