Manipur violence: Over 10K additional CAPF troops to be deployed

In response to the ongoing violence in Manipur that has claimed 258 lives since May, the Indian government is deploying over 10,000 additional soldiers. This decision follows a recent surge in violence, including the discovery of six bodies allegedly abducted and killed by Kuki militants, sparking protests and attacks on government officials’ residences.
