The Maharashtra government has successfully acquired the historic 'Raghuji Sword' for Rs 47.15 lakh. This centuries-old weapon belonged to Raje Raghuji Bhonsle, founder of the Nagpur's Bhonsle dynasty. Secured through an auction in London conducted by Sotheby’s, the sword, also known as a khanda, features a European-style blade and gold-inlaid Devanagari script, reflecting its historical significance and Maratha heritage.Original Article
