Digital Aadhaar shields Kashmir’s Chinars from axe of greed

Kashmir's Chinar trees are being digitally tagged with unique numbers and QR codes by the J&K Forest Research Institute to track and monitor their health and presence. This initiative aims to combat illegal felling and urbanization threats. So far, 28,560 Chinars have been recorded, including some of the oldest and largest in Asia.Original Article
