Deal sealed, but Scotch to stay pricey till 2035

Import duties on Scotch and gin in India will decrease from 150% to 75%, but the full effect won't be seen until at least 2035 due to ratification and a phased reduction. While the UK agreed to a minimum import price, consumer price drops may only be around 10% because of state taxes. The move is expected to benefit Indian Made Foreign Liquor manufacturers and boost trade.Original Article
