Fraudster are using this app “distributed via WhatsApp” to steal your money

Tamil Nadu police warn of a phishing scam targeting UPI users through a fake “PM Kisan Yojna” app. This malicious app gains control of SMS and device permissions, enabling unauthorized transactions via UPI, particularly PhonePe, with funds diverted to Amazon Pay. Police urge users to download apps only from official sources and report suspicious activity.
